Inspirational Kickstarter Project Exceeds Initial Goal by 133%
Sometimes in life you just need a little motivation—and who better to give it to you than one of the most adorable dogs in Britain? Mr. Dash, a Border Collie living in the UK with his owner, I-Ching Liao, certainly fits that description.
I-Ching created the Kickstarter project Mr. Dash’s Inspiration (MDI) to help people find and hold on to more moments of happiness. “I hope there are more people like me who can be inspired by Dash’s canine wisdom to seek and find the joy of living in every moment,” she says on her project page.
Branding
I-Ching’s methods of capturing Dash’s wisdom included inspirational cards, mugs, wall art, other items, and even unique experiences such as having a drink with the lovable Border Collie in his favorite pub.
We had the opportunity to help I-Ching create these items, along with a compelling video to help share Dash’s story, which resulted in exceeding her goal by 133% (~£3,500 vs. £1,500) in only one month.
The logo design for MDI was almost as cute as Mr. Dash himself. It incorporated handwritten font by calligrapher SheauYunn Usmanova, as well as a paw print and the heart shape from Dash’s fur pattern on his head.
Video Production
We produced a heartfelt introduction video for the project that included numerous still photos of Dash and I-Ching at home, work, and play to help pledgers connect with the lovable Border Collie. The video even included an adorable voiceover that gave Dash more personality.
Product Design
With calligraphy assistance from SheauYunn, we designed all the items supporters could pledge to receive, including cards, mugs, and wall art. All I-Ching had to worry about was shipping the items to Dash’s supporters.
